I think I know this answer, but need to replace a unit giving me issues currently. Does anybody make a zwave smoke detector that is line powered/wired with battery only for backup?

I looked into this a few years ago and didn't find any. Could you wire it into your alarm system? If not maybe there is a z-wave sensor that can measure noise levels. Then you could use that as a trigger when the alarm goes off. Also help when the kids through a loud party...

Thanks!...i do have one of the FortrezZ sensor that sits next to the built in alarm to catch when they go off for HS, as well as a few z-wave battery powered alarms. I am always surprised how some things that you'd think would be a no brainer to manufacture, aren't made.Comment
