WOW!!! Cool find! Unfortunately I do not have the time to look into something this involved. It would require some work to make happen, including having a web server set up to host the application. If you had someone who knew JavaScript and could set up a local web server you might be able to get this going for your needs, but I think it may be overkill for your need. If you want to set up a local server, though, apparently this could be done on a Raspberry Pi: https://github.com/groupon/greenscreen I find it here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/...ith-chromecast

    I came across this https://developers.google.com/cast/v2/custom_receiver
Not sure it would be anything?

I tried a couple things but couldn't get it to work beyond a white screen. One thing I did not try was to create a web page with Google Maps embedded via an iFrame or API call. I would first just try a basic html file on the same computer HomeSeer is on. May be no need to do any web server stuff.

    Looking For Chromecast Guru

So I am a Vol fireman. I get an email with an address. I would love to take that address and us a google maps url to display it on my tv. I am not sure how the chromecast urls. I tested this with just using a google maps url but chromcast complains about not having a an index file.
    Can this be done?
