    sensor "forgets" a decimal/dot

    Greetings,

In my garage I have a Fibaro universal sensor installed, included is a temperature sensor.
The plan is/was to use this temperature sensor as a fire detector. When the temperature is above 60 degrees C > fire an event.

I noticed that the last couple of weeks this event fired because of a wierd sensed temperature. I just now noticed , that everrytime this happends, the "dot/ decimal" is forgotten.
    for example Instead of 20.31 C , 2031 C is reported.

Since the numbers are correct I expect something is wrong on the homeseer part.
    Anyone has an idea?
    Thanks,
    Cor

You could place an upper bound of 150C. When temperature is > 60 and if temperature is < 150. Not a solution to the missed decimal pt but it will fix the immediate problem of nuisance trips.

AllHailJ ; i googled about fires, and a fire rapidly goes to over 500-600 degree C. Meaning if i do a <150 and there is a fire........there is a big change it is not detected.

      Thanks,

Wondering why you would not use a dedicated smoke detector?
