Anyone using Fibaro Heat Controller / TRV

    Hi.

Having trouble with this new Fibaro TRV in that it seems to include properly but I'm getting no temperature reading in HS. It always displays 0.
I've tried removing the node and factory resetting the TRV but it's just the same.

Endpoints listed are just single endpoint from homeseer to endpoint 1.

Anyone else use this TRV that can check there endpoints or offer any advice.

on a side note it's a noisy bloody valve and not great for bedrooms, especially kids

Do I need to external Bluetooth sensor to get a temperature reading into HS? Fibaro say it's optional.

ID:	1426275 Hi,
I use three of these devices. They are no less or more noisy than the Popp and Euro??that I have installed. I find they work fine but do not have as many children as others but the charging method is so much better than others. Aesthetically they look less industrial and are easier to adjust by visitors.

I enclose a screenshot of one of mine.

Let me know what information you are looking for.

      Cheers

      Jo

What version firmware is your TRV using?

Are you using the additional temperature sensor?

What are your endpoints look like?

            thanks.

I take it the temperature needs to be polled?
I havnt set that up so maybe that's the problem.
            you have firmware 4.5 I have 4.4

Do you have the additional temperature sensor like this?

              No additional sensor fitted.
I run two events per day. Morning I send a day temperature to TRV and then in the evening a lower setting.

I did change some parameters as my TRV is in a vertical position.

              Hope that helps. Jo

                thanks for that.
I must have had the wrong manual or something because I only got 3 parameters listed, which I thought was odd for fibaro product.
I also notice there manuals are separated into 2 variants, 4.0 - 4.6 and 4.7.

clearly there is a newer firmware with some significant changes. I'll try altering some parameters and let you know how I get on.

                thanks

Ok I think this is a firmware issue.
I don't have the ability to change the parameters past 16 bit 4.

I'm going to have to either send this back to supplier or buy a HC off eBay to try updating.

Bloody idiots at Fibaro. All because they won't let is do updates without HC on their broken crappy products

                  Thanks for your help Jo

How did you manage it, did you use a non HS system.

i bought a used Fibaro home centerfrom eBay. Not cheap way to do it but I refuse to give Fibaro my money for a new one when firmware should be updated by a more friendly way for non home center users.

ironically, vesternet had a deal on the life version of home center 2 for £120 which was a steal. Sadly the timing was bad as I litteraly has just got one off eBay. Most of my house is Fibaro devices so it makes sense to have that update option.
