Translate power on a circuit board to x10

I have a a driveway monitor that I would like to modify to send x10 signals. It's a PIR sensor with a range of around 400ft and has a speaker as well as lights on the receiver unit. Currently, it just sounds a tone when motion is detected at the foot of our driveway. Is there a way to modify the receiver (perhaps on the lights lead) where when voltage is detected, an x10 signal is sent?

This is typcial application for a powerflash. They sell for around $20. When voltage appears, then an X10 ON is sent.

Ok, thanks Michael. I have never used one and I typically see them with contacts that come together. I guess it doesn't matter whether you use the typical contacts (for a garage door or similar application) or a wire completing the circuit. Any words of precaution?
