    New HS 4 Virtual Devices

I would just like some clarification on the new HS4 virtual devices. When I create a virtual device in HS 4 it also creates a Control part. When I am using them in an event, do I pick the virtual device or the virtual device control? They have different numbers assigned and when I use geofency with a webhook I am not sure which device number I should use either. Click image for larger version

You use the child device/feature, if you notice in your example that is the only one getting updated with a time-stamp and it contains your status values (home, away, etc).

AFAIK, there is no perfectly clear answer to this (I've seen all sorts of interpretations), although HS (from what I have been able to determine) prefers to look for the root device as a container for the other "devices". So, my quick-start guide (guess) would suggest that you look for the "virtual device control."
