    : http://www.apcupsd.org/ also goes by this document : http://www.apcupsd.org/manual/manual.pdf

    Guys,

I found that software while looking for node a APC UPS for Node-RED

Please note that I have not explored it clearly to see if the two have work together (in other words if you have have Node-RED) but looks interesting!

The apcupsd daemon is the software that communicates with the UPS for management. The apcupsd daemon will need to be installed on the machine you wish to use to monitor the UPS.

For example, I have the apcupsd deamon installed on my Linux based HomeSeer system in my main equipment closet in the basement. The UPS is connected to the HomeSeer server by a serial cable.

I have a Z-Net in a closet on the main floor of my house. It has its own UPS. I have the apcupsd installed on the Z-Net. The UPS is plugged into the Z-Net.
