    Noise monitoring?

Does anyone know if there's any systems to monitor noises for parties and other things that'll integrate? Even better if zwave. We rent a property out and insurance wants us to have some party notification monitor and i'd rather have an integration then buy some thing like noiseaware and waste an annual fee

Our old neighbor might work for you! We could always count on a call if noise got a little loud. She also had the option to call the PoPo if there was even a peep after 10pm......

On a serious note, I am using Blueiris to monitor noise levels and it integrates easily in HS. but most surveillance apps offer the noise monitoring features.

What about attaching a decibel meter to an Arduino?

depending on your needs, I used that kind of device for outdoor dog barking notification, it would work fine if there is no wind because wind was always firing my "dog bark" event. I tried lowering the sensibility but then IO was missing the bark if the dog was not barking in the device direction

I have some Air Quality Monitors that are ZWave and include noise level. Not cheap for just Noise.
MCO Home A8-9 is what I use with HS. They have a US distributer, but they take a while to arrive as they are custom ordered.
