Using Paint.NET To Create Images For HSTouch Or Home Remote

Note : At present it's not possible to add plug-ins to Paint.NET in Windows 10 so the Alignment tool cannot be used. You will have to eye-ball the image centring but the rest of the information I put in the images below like story boards

Example I created some years ago :

    Now lets go create...

Warning! : Create Copies Of Images That You Want To Modify To A Separate Working Folder So You Don't Loose The Originals! And Inside The New Folder Create An Other Folder For Your Creations (Where You Can Then Copy Them To Their Final Destinations)

    Creating images using layers :

    • Now hide away in the "Man Cave" and claim all sorts of things including insanity happening to you!

Adding your creations to HSTouch Projects is the : C:\Users\...\Documents\HSTouch\Skins
I posted how to start with HStouch elsewhere : #4
    • Designing in Home Remote is more like in HSTouch but with a great deal of capabilities and technologies at your disposal and works so well with HomeSeer. (I didn't want to include events because they are best handled by HomeSeer but that's me...)
    • The help links provided by THR are for features description but some very good videos are provided of how to start and all the way to advanced (You will need head-phones then you listen a little, start a project and keep going back to and from,...till you get that a-ha! moment).
    • The quick links : and :
    • You will need to keep checking on their help videos for reference and use the Topic search feature before you even think of asking anything. It is so well organised with examples...
    • You add your created images to the Images folder

Tip : I would avoid adding a Video/TV controller to a Wall Tablet (so choose what to add to each device)
    • And to give you "a kick in the backside"!
