    Web Server Problems

I am not a very advanced user, and I am having some problems. I am able to control my lights (which are hooked up to X10 transceivers) from the homeseer program, and people are able to access my web server and see the light control buttons. However, when they are clicked (by them or myself), nothing happens. I had made some customized web pages, so I thought maybe I had done something wrong with the code. However, the same thing happens when I try to click the on or off buttons on the default web page created by homeseer.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance.

How do you have the user defined that you are using to login? The login needs to have more than guest access. Can you control the same lights from the HS GUI?

Those are the options I have set right now, and I thought that those were all I needed... People can access the web server and view the pages, but when they click the on/off buttons, nothing happens. I assume this means the port is right and my router is set up properly, but I'm not sure what's preventing people from being able to control the devices.

As I said, I can turn the lights on and off from the homeseer program itself, but not from the webpage. This includes the default homepage homeseer creates as well as the ones I made.

Sorry I can't offer any more information, and pardon my ignorance.

Wavgirl - Rupp means in the Define Users section in your screenshot, if you click it you can define usernames and passwords for guests to your webserver, to allow people to control devices they would need at least normal access.

I havent tested this however, and the help files havent been updated with the definition for 'normal' check box since it was added, dont give the user admin access unless you trust them as this will give them full control to change what they want.
