Phantom Activity: Help with Troubleshooting, Please

    Hey, All,

I moved my HS3 system to RPi early in 2020. I have purchased HS4 but not implemented it yet, and I'm thinking I will probably move the system back to Windows when I do. One main reason it that the RPi version seems to be somewhat flakey. For example, (and this is not the first time something similar has happened),I came home today from a couple hours of errands to find 5 or 6 lights on in the middle of broad daylight. They were both outside lights that shouldn't be on, and a couple of inside lights too, and interestingly they were some on both the X-10 and Z-wave interfaces. It doesn't help that this happened about 10 minutes after I left, and the wife witnessed all this happening without her tripping any of them. (Way bad for already low WAF anyway, lol)

Below is the HS3 log, and I honestly don't know enough about the system to understand what it means that something was triggered by/from the CAPI Control Handler. Further, I noticed that whatever went haywire at 2:46PM, it is bracketed by HSBuddy cleanup actvities. Could HSBuddy have caused it? Any other ideas what there's a Ghost in the Machine?? I see all the X-10 errors. My interface is a CM11A plugged into Jeff Volp's excellent XTB-IIR. My Z-wave interface is a good ol' HomeSeer stick.

Thanks in advance for any insights. Much appreciated,
    Mike

These logs look a lot like some noise for both Z-Wave and X10 is causing issues. The Z-Wave errors at the top are invalid packets which can be caused by excessive Z-Wave traffic or some external interference. Do you have any baby monitors in use?

No sir. No baby monitors or any new wireless electronics I can think of.
