I added a request to HS regarding having an action item in events that can do something like [Device1Value] = [Device2Value] * x + y. However, it was declined. In my personal opinion this is very useful as it allows to convert units, convert lux measurements to 0-100% dimming levels, etc, etc. Is this something that nobody else needs or are people just doing scripts or using EasyTrigger (which I have)?

I agree this is an important function. Like many 3rd party plugin capabilities--most of easytrigger's functionality, for example--it's one that could reasonably be expected to be native. This said, why not just use ET? I'd estimate I use ET in 20-25% of my 687 events.
Sure hope there's a plan to transfer ET to HS if heaven forbid something happens to spud.
