I can setup the camera in HS4 and seeing it via http://user:Password@192.168.1.11:81...nels/1/picture fine but not using rtsp://userassword@192.168.1.11:1051/Streaming/channels/101/picture. Under Camera setup I use http for snapshot and rtsp for Stream. I can see the stream via VLC media player just fine. I'm on HS4 V4.1.11.0 . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Relating to the camera configuration what worked for me was using the HS3 setup page that is still present in HS4 using Jon00 links script / plugin. ("_setup.html")

Setting it up from the hs3 menu, will show me the cameras in the hs4 menu?
Yes and the setup.
Do the HS3 set up first.
The configuration will automagically appear in the HS4 camera set up page. Do not change or modify this setting in the HS4 camera set up page.
You will see the JPG image when choosing live view. When you click on the JPG you will see the live RTSP streaming image.
Here using Zoneminder on Ubuntu 20.04 and testing Blue Iris on Windows 2016 server. Above is testing wireless Hikvision Doorbell streaming.- Pete

UPDATE: So I was expecting the stream (rtsp) to provide a snapshot for the Live camera page. Apparently, based on Rich's comments on this thread: Use live stream Dahua IPC-HDW4831EM-ASE in HS4 - HomeSeer Message Board , there is an issue with extracting frames for manually added cameras. Thus, it appears to be working appropriately for me... ie, the snapshot http url is providing snapshot for the "live" page and the streaming rtsp url is allowing for recording.

Thank you both for the help. I understanding a little bit more how it works. Pete, I used your example and although there are no issues seeing the camera as snapshot (With of course the delay of about 5 seconds each frame) when I click on the image, it looks like that it is still using the snapshot because the delay did not change, it is still about 5 seconds each frame. I tried every possible combination but without success. Not sure if this helps, I'm using a Hikvision camera and I do not have any issues seeing it from any other application. On a different topic, I'm trying to use it into Jon00tiles but the delay of 5 seconds is huge, a person can disappear in 5 seconds from the camera.
