How do you send emails via HomeSeer with new, two-factor authentication requirement?

I've been using Comcast for years to send email alerts. Apparently, they have very recently interposed two-factor authentication to send an email from HomeSeer.
Exception sending email via smtp.comcast.net (To:xxx@xxxxnet, cc:, bcc:, Sub:HomeSeer Door Motion, Attach = ...authentication rejected (LS)

I tried using Gmail and got a "critical security alert." Apparently, HomeSeer is not a secure app.

I need help to get this working again. Thanks. Elliott

SOLVED: In your Comcast account security, check the box to enable access through third party programs.

Thanks. The strange thing is that I don't recall turning two-factor authentication on, but it was on. I left on a trip on December 26th, when email alerts were working fine (I get an email from HomeSeer when my house is armed or disarmed). When I returned on December 31st, this issue was present. In any case, I have turned off two-factor authentication and, unfortunately, the problem has not been fixed.

What about setting up a Gmail account just for HomeSeer?

Thanks. I was able to resolve the problem. I searched the web and found a setting that I needed to change under security for my Xfinity account. I needed to check the box to allow third party access to my Xfinity email account. It is working now. I have no idea why this changed after 12/26/2021. Elliott
