    X10 Noise from GDO?

    Guys,

Have any of you noticed your garage door opener itself causing X10-interfering noise on the AC line? I think mine is, so I am planning on putting a filter in front of it. I just wondered if others had seen this problem.

    Mike,
Any motor especially motors in refrigerators, freezers, washers, and dryers are major causes of noise but generally only when running.

I had an old Stanley opener that was X-10 aware. I think it would send out a signal on open and on close. I believe you could also control a light or two with one of the second buttons on the remote.

Came with the house. It tended to send out random X-10 garbage regardless of what house/unit codes it was set at. I was about to put a filter on it but it died and I replaced it with a non x-10 Sears opener.
