    Another Newbie Question:

    Hi all again,

Is there some way for Homeseer to control the system volume of my PC? I want to set Homeseer up to play a .wav file at some predetermined time or interval, and it's important that it play it at the correct volume. Since I can't always be sure what the system volume's going to be at any given time, is there some way that Homeseer can check to see what it is and adjust it accordingly?

    Thanks in advance,

    Greg

        Thanks!

Downloaded both, both failed to do anything, but I suspect it's because I don't have adminstrator rights on this machine I'm on at work? I'll give them a try tonight when I get home on my own machine.

        Thanks again!

          Correction...

It does work. For some reason the Play Control panel wasn't displaying the update. Thanks again!

            Built-in volume control functions

            Hi, Gregtee.

The Homeseer scripting interface has two built-in functions that you can use:
            SetVolume and GetVolume.

You can read about them in HS help, under Scripting.

            Later,
            Kirk
