Foscam s41 alarm linkage

Hey all

I got a new camera - foscam s41 as my last Avtech cameras and NVR got hacked..
Any way to the point
I notices this option
Alarm linkage


After setting an URL, when camera triggers a detection, will call the URL
http://username:password@ip:port/jso...nd=switchlight.

Anyway this could talk to HS4...if so any clues/ideas/thoughts

I'm not clear from the information, if you can define the URL yourself.

If you can then you could use the Homeseer JSON interface to trigger a HomeSeer event.

Just enter the following URL (changing the IP/Port/Eventname to suit your setup):

http://<HOMESEER IP:PORT>/JSON?request=runevent&name=YOUREVENTNAME

If you have a username/password set for JSON usage, then the URL becomes:

http://<HOMESEER IP:PORT>/JSON?user=USERNAME&pass=PASSWORD&request=runevent&name=EVENTNAME

I also have a two Foscam Cameras and would like to also send my HS4 system a signal when motion is detected. Please tell me where I can get more info on the JSON interface.

I think I'm heading towards the world of scripting... something that is new to me...
What I'm trying to do is to turn off / on my foscam camera motion detection (via goefencing)

I'm just not sure how to do a HS4 script to run these commands

I suspect it's not so much a command that you run, but an http post to the camera.
That shouldn't be too bad, as people send posts from HS4 for lots of reasons.
