Why not use the mcsMQTT - InfluxDB - Grafana combo?

I need to look into this as I have the Brultech GEM setup and still no plugin to get costs, etc...
so gonna look at mcsmQTT/Grafana

Some steep learning curve but once set up it's a breeze to change things around and customize things your way.

mcsMQTT plugin will record data from any HS Device Value in InfluxDB, MySQL, MS SQL Server or SQLite. It has a charting capability that requires no more that point and click actions to select what you want charted and the period of time. There are users that use mcsMQTT to store data in the database such as InfluxDB and use Grafana to produce more exotic charts. This step requires additional setup but is more customizable.

Energy Monitoring
Hello all. I currently am using the aeotec home energy monitor and it is working no major issues. I was wondering if someone could recommend a plugin or other method to view the data. currently im using Jon00's charting add-on and it works fine but its all a very manual process. right now I have a few energy monitors and plugs and I want to expand it and it will be a LOT of work to get it the way Im looking for. I see on other platforms, they have built in tools or plugins to handle the data, but I just dont see anything comparable on homeseer. I have tried the built in energy charts but getting them to work AND be useful is too much of a chore for me. its very buggy. any ideas/advice? thank you!
