Control Use, Column, Row - what is it?

Thanks jon00 , I think I was trying to put two controls side by side. More like the functionality of a thermostat. It appears the grids only support 3 controls (each on a separate row) or 5 rows total combined, at least from experience. Anyways good to know there is come customization available.

I've attempted to change them in the past to move controls around on the grids and didn't seem to do anything. It appears there is automatic positioning and sizing going on regardless of those settings, at least in grid view. Or maybe I gave up to easy.

Row/Column/Span is still valid in HS4 for positioning controls (such as buttons, sliders etc) on devices where you assign them to a grid.

Note that the 3 x 4 grid is the maximum size allowed which means you cannot assign more than 12 buttons etc to a device.

ControlUse is not just for voice commands. It allows a programmer to have access to controls that do common functions like ON, OFF etc without knowing the specific CAPI implementation of the plugin. It is an attempt to provide a common interface for controlling devices from all plugins.

Control use is to assign the voice command that applies to the control.
