upgrade from HS4 Pro Edition 4.1.18.0 (Windows) to 4.2.16.0

Is it worth updating?
Last time I updated all my Insteon and z-wave devices were missing.
If I update what folders do I need to copy and replace after the update so this won't happen again?

In terms of "is it worth upgrading?" may I suggest you look through the change logs to determine if any of the fixes or improvements are important to you:

In terms of your second question, may I suggest that you get a backup and restore strategy in place if you don't have one already. If you have one already, then upgrading should be a low-risk decision.

HS 4.1.18 was late in 2021 IIRC. It would certainly be worth an update. A lot of changes in a year.
