    Windows application monitoring

Wondering if anybody knows of any application or plug in that will monitor a remote windows PC for a specific configured application and then use the status of that to trigger an event? Previously was using EventGhost for this but that plugin has long been since discontinued and the dev gone. I also see that the eventghost website is no longer available. I.e. I had it configured to monitor for Chrome being opened or closed and then turn on or off a light.
