If you a) must have a switch or dimmer now, and b) you don't need or want the advanced features of the WX-300, then I highly recommend Jasco's "UltraPro" brand. They use the 700-series SOCs and I have never had one fail.

"UltraPro Z-Wave Smart Rocker Light Switch with QuickFit and SimpleWire, 3-Way Ready, Compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, ZWave Hub Required, Repeater/Range Extender, White Paddle Only, 39348" https://amazon.com/dp/B07B3LY1SJ

"UltraPro Z-Wave Smart Rocker Light Dimmer with QuickFit and SimpleWire, 3-Way Ready, Compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, ZWave Hub Required, Repeater/Range Extender, White Paddle Only, 39351" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B3LXZJ9

Note: these are the exact same products as Jasco's "Embrighten" brand. The only difference is that they come in brown cardboard boxes instead of a fancy retail box. They're also generally cheaper.

I highly recommend the ZooZ Zen77, they rarely have a problem keeping stock or on Amazon. It's a better dimmer than anything HST makes (smoother and wider dimming range) and has more smart features than the WX-300. Only thing it doesn't have is the multiple LEDs, but has a single one which is color programmable.

My only warning with the GE/Jasco/Enbrighten is many of them require a Neutral when I last checked them out. This might have changed. For newer houses it is likely not an issue, but a lot of older homes do have boxes without neutrals....

That's true; the current-generation products do require a neutral wire.

Yeah, that's classic Amazon. I guess I can forgive them, with who knows how many individual products listed for sale, that something like that happens. The devices often go on sale and the price fluctuates a lot. I have a "CamelCamelCamel" alert set up to tell me when the prices drop below some threshold.

Add to that mix the fact that there might be dozens of resellers listing the same item.

I just installed a Lutron Diva over the weekend into one of my three-way applications. I am in love with the dimmer. I was able to maintain my existing other switch, and it worked with the weirdo wiring in my house. And no neutral required. 😎

Preface that I use this through my Caseta Bridge. So not z-wave.

Not surprising to hear, Lutron is first and foremost a lighting company. They make sure the product actually dims smoothly and with the widest possible types of loads. One pays a higher premium for their products, but the quality is usually there.

+1 to that. In my experience, Lutron makes the best dimmers on the market. However, even the finest dimmers can't necessarily make horrible lighting products (cough cough Feit Electric cough cough) work reliably.
