I have four of the MP21Z and there is no firmware for them other than the MP21ZP. i gave the "P" version a try and it said it failed. I had to completely remove and re-add the device and then it showed up with power features it doesn't actually have. OPPS. I contacted them and after a couple of emails back and forth, the finally gave me the initial (and only) firmware for it so I could re-flash it back to normal.

So far the dimming versions have been having signal issues. They work sporadically. Not impressed with them. The on/off versions are somewhat better, but not perfect.

The also had a issue on their website under the firmware section. Under "Drivers for Hubitat", the button to click for download stated it was to download a .GBL file. This made me think this was the firmware, but it was actually a GROOVY file type. In my emails to them, I pointed this out, and they have since fixed the website to just state "Download".

All I can tell you is that I have installed their MP21ZP version 1.10 firmware on multiple MP21Z plugs. The update worked, and yes, whereas it has bogus power parameters, I just ignore them. I suppose the other option would be to return the plugs and instead buy the power-monitor version, and update those. The signal issues are definitely fixed in the 1.10 firmware.

Where were you able to find the version currently installed? I haven't been able to figure that out.

I got the firmware upgraded with the "P" version. Don't know if the signal issue was fixed but it is still the weakest signal device in my network.

I'm currently trying the 31-series "700" version and they work a whole lot better. I don't recommend the 21 series. However, I don't have anything to lose and will try the newer P version firmware on all of them to see if that get's them working well enough.
