    Amazon Alexa

Just answered a survey from amazon about alexa and my home automation uses. Must be polling users to see if their is failing interest in using alexa to control home automation devices. They also asked about using alexas routines versus HS4's events to make things happen.

Possibly, this is related to their matter aspirations?

It is SO easy to click a few things on the Alexa App to create a routine. The problem is, you are then losing local control. I have had to go back and create the local event and then have Alexa run it. I do have multi-tap events on most of my WS300's as backup just in case the Wifi is down.

Possibly. Asked about types of devices I have and counts. What I am controlling with them.

Huh, we use Alex pretty frequently to control devices. I would think with home automation gaining more traction such demand should be increasing. The integration is lacking. I have to set up so many routines and it's just cumbersome to manage things in Alexa and HS. I also wish that Alex finally would allow announcements from HS without having to jump through hoops/hacks (node red, voice monkey, etc).

Did they really ask about HS4? I didn't think HS4 was on their radar. Is this a "public" survey"? If so, do you have a link?

Not HS4 persey, but what I am using and what I am controlling with it. Not public, it was an email they sent to me.
