Anyway to Delay multiple Z-wave command received at once ?

I Have issues with a large room where I have 10 possible switch that can be turned On/Off separetely, If I either send a Google turn Lights Off or On or a kid decide to switch them all at once my Z-net network struggles for a while and nothing can be done for at lest 5-10 minutes.

I have seen post where people suggest adding rooms to Google but that will not fix this special room problem.

Is there a parameter or anything in HS that can capture and delay the Z-wave trafic ?

There’s not any way of dealing with commands once they’re sent. You might try enabling Z-Wave command logging to diagnose what is happening. I don’t know what you are using for an HS server, but even for a Pi 5-10 minutes is way beyond normal. For reference, I look at about 60 devices in my House to Sleep routine and usually command 25 of them. We never see errors or delays. The whole process takes about a minute.

randy thanks for this, I am running on a windows machine i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz, I will try enabling z-wave command and try to see what could be the issue.

The only thing I know at this time is that when this happens HS try about 10-15 time to turn On/Off all devices ...

That’s plenty of CPU, so there must be something else. For my group Off commands I use an Easy Trigger Group, send command only if it results in a change of value and a 1 second delay between commands. That reduces the Z-Wave command flow.

I have the same issue with thermostats - if I change them all at once either Z-Wave or HS is really not happy and I get "Unknown" statuses.

I do the same as randy said above, with a delay of 5 seconds all my 12 thermostats change reliably 99% of the time.

I do the same for my night or away events and have no problem when delay’s are included (turning off about 18 light and changing 10 thermostat) my Only problem is when those multiple events can’t be managed like if we, by mistake say google open lights, then google could send up to 65 z-wave command simultaneously.

I guess the best would be either for google to delay the On command or the Google - HS interface to capture and managed these …
