Video Server
I'm working on a new project that will be using a computer controlled video switcher (Knox, RS8X8) and like to ask:
Can anyone recommend what type of system I could/should build for serving video content to multiple outputs from HardDisk? I'll be using 19" flat panel's (5 in total), and likely use DVI repeater/extenders from the video card(s).
So I guess the question(s) is/are:
Which OS? (MCE? XP? Linux w/ MythTV)
HDD setup? (multiple drives, RAID0, ?)
Video Cards (best choice for what I'm trying to do?)
I appreciate any input and/or advice as this is somewhat of a new realm for me!
