    HS3 Z-Wave pooped out - help - Solved!

I tried to update my HS3 Hometroller Z-wave today. First try failed - log indicating trying disable first. Did that. Now the indication is it was successful but the Z-Wave object does not appear in the plugins and when I look in the log I see this:

Name:	image.png
Views:	98
Size:	100.9 KB
ID:	1605751 I am not sure what to do but it is clear the Zwave Legacy PLugin was not successfully loaded.

    Any suggestions?

    What version were you running?
What version of the Z-Wave plugin are you attempting to load?
What OS are you running HS3 on?

I am not sure what release I was initially coming from but I tried going to 0.3.10.0 ( that said successful bit threw the error shown) then tried for 0.3.11.0. That was also successful (shows installed in plugin modules) but threw the same exception.

I am running whatever version of Windows (7, 8?) that the HS3 Hometroller Pro came with.

If you are attempting to upgrade from a really old version you may have to update your .net libraries to the latest version.

            How old is your Hometroller?

Back in 2016, I updated my Hometroller S6 to Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 (file name dotNetFx45_Full_setup.exe)

This download is still available at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=30653

The current version of .NET is 4.8. I don't think it'll install on old Hometrollers with Windows older than v. 10, but .NET versions below 4.7 are no longer supported, and considered insecure. BTW, .NET 4.8 is included (built-in) to Windows 11.

Here's one discussion of .NET versions and their deprecation:

I tried installing 4.5 - that failed with an expired certificate, I then installed 4,7 (it was suggested by the download page). That worked and the Z-Wage plugin appeared without any additional intervention as soon as I started up HomeSeer,
