HS and UART (and another alarm question!)

    Hello,

I've been looking into alarms that can connect to HS and have come down to Texecom or Ajax. Being in the UK choice is limited!

I've seen on the forum that someone managed to get Texecom talking with HS using Texecom's smartcom. I'm not entirely sure if it can control it, or of it just reads device states (window/door sensors etc)

Ajax is relatively new, had good reviews and have realised a UART bridge so it can connect with home automation systems. I can't find anything on HS and UART, so was wondering if anyone had any experience with it?

I'm essentially after a non cloud/subscription security system where I can use the sensors for other things. I'd like to be able to read the state of the alarm (which zones are armed or disarmed). I don't really feel the need to set it from HS, although I suspect if it could, there's be bonus points from my partner.

    Thanks!

Just FYI, there was another discussion on HS/UK Alarms here: https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/ho...r-alarm-system

      Thanks Jon,

I keep checking the forums on this but just posted without checking. Last check was about a month ago 🤦🏾‍♂️. I'll take a look at it now.
