Inclusion of secure devices.

After many years, I am giving HS another try with HS4. Facing an issue, not sure how to overcome.
My HS server is a large server that does other things. I can't move it easily. Then I have secure devices such as the finicky Schlage locks that need to be within a few feet of the controller for inclusion. How do you handle that?

A couple options are to remove the lock and take it to the controller or change to (or add) a z-net controller that can be moved around.

Removing the lock is what I am trying to avoid. I also would not want to change my controller (800 LR series) to an older one for this purpose alone.
