Looking for outdoor photo electric z-wave sensor

Something just like the beam across a garage door that stops it from closing, but can be used to trigger events.

Could you add a beaming device to something like this to accomplish this task.

Look for a "Beam Sensor" with a contact output then connect it to something like a Zooz Zen16 relay box which allows inputs to be reported via Z-Wave. I was looking for a Z-wave unit a while back and couldn't find one so I connected a sensor into my alarm system which also reports to HS.

No idea why edit didn't work...so anyway I meant to add. I'm hoping something like this overcomes IR motions detectors false alarm issues with car headlights, sudden sunshine, and bright flashes of light reflected by cars.
