    HomeSeer Chokes

After a day or two, of constant running, HomeSeer stops functioning properly. It fails to run events, doesn't recognize triggers, etc.

If I stop the program and restart it it'll work fine for another day or two - but eventually requires stoping & re-starting.

I'm running it on a Athlon 3000 with 1 gig of memory and a couple of 160 GB sata drives under WinXPro.

No other programs have similar problems.

    Suggestions?

When it stops have you looked at the memory usage? Are you running any plugins?

      Thanks for reading me.

No memory usage probs or CPU "overtaxed" situation. Machine's just humming along.

Running just a plain vanilla version of HomeSeer, right out of the box with nothing else added.

Can you post an excerpt of the log when it freezes?

There's nothing odd in the log - other than the fact that things are missing. That is to say, event triggers don't show up. Status is missing for scheduled events and so forth. But the log doesn't really change nature - it just doesn't show the events that it didn't run but chould have.

Can you shut down homeseer, start it back up and post the log of the startup setups. This will give some indication of your system. Also, is any other software running along with Homeseer?

Can you describe some of the events that your are running and how you are triggering them? Also how many devices do you have?

Do you have any motion sensors or other RF type devices? Is so how are they getting to the HS machine (CM11A, powerline, etc...)?

Just trying to get some info to help troubleshoot.

Running about 15 events against about 12 devices including three motion detectors.

The MoDets are used to keep the lights on in one room when its occupied and to raise the level of the lights in two other rooms at night. The rest of the events are strictly timming.

                  I'm using a USB interface

One user recently reported a memory leak in the USB Powerlinc plugin. You may want to watch that memory line. Do you have another interface like the CM11A to try? Are you running the latest USB Powerlinc Plugin?
