    Can't hear outgoing message.

    If I use TTS I can hear my outgoing message when leaving a message but when I try to use a wav I can't hear anything. Are there some settings for the wav I need to change?

    If I remember correcly they need to be 8bit wav files.

      My settings are pcm 22.050khz 8 bit mono but no worky.

        I used sound recorder to change the format to "telephone quality" PCM 11.025 kHz, 8 Bit, Mono. It still does not work and I noticed that the log is reporting invalid wav format whan the system should be playing an outgoing message. Is there a better way to record my mesage so it is in the correct format?

          I can't fully remember the correct settings, and I'm not in front of my machine to check.... but try 8 khz and 8 bit settings. The outgoing announcements must be in a lower format than the internal TTS settings. I used the MS recorder to do mine. There is also a converter function that makes it easy to put them in the right format if you recorded them at a higher rate.
