    TZ16 control?

    I have the new zwave thermostat plugged in, and it shows up in Homeseer as house code H1, and it shows the current status. However, I have no idea how to control this device via a script.

    Can anyone help??

    Thanks

    Did you try right clicking on the device?

      Sorry, I should have been more clear. I can control the device directly via homeseer, but I am curious about scripting, and event control.

        To create an event to turn up the air at 3pm you should be able to simple create an event that trigger is at 3pm and then on the devices tab drag your tstat device into the device box and then right click on it and you should be able to adjust the set points and etc.

        Scripting is accomplished by using the commands using the commands listed in the HS help file under "Control Thermostat". Here's the excerpt:

        Code:
        ControlThermostat

        Parameter
         Type
         Description

        device
         string
         Device code of thermostat like "J1". This is configured device code.

        Return value
         Type
         Description

        command
         string
         The the thermostat command like "GetTemp". See below for possible commands.

        value
         value
         Value to set if setting temperature, mode, or fan.

        This function gives direct access to thermostats. Thermostats are supported with special .THM scripts. The command parameter is the entry function that is called. The functions available are:

        GetTemp = Returns the current temperature
        GetSetPoint = Returns the current heat set point
        GetFan = Returns the Fan mode (0=off 1=on)
        GetMode = Returns the operting modem (0=off 1=heat 2=cool 3=auto)
        SetSetPoint = Sets the current heat set point
        SetFan = Sets the current fan mode
        SetMode = Sets the current operation mode
        SetCoolSetPoint = Sets the current cool set point (if supported by thermostat)

        Example

        ' get the current temperature

        dim temp

        temp = hs.ControlThermostat("J1","GetTemp",0)

        ' set the set point to 72 degrees

        hs.ControlThermostat "J1","SetSetPoint",72
