Funny you should mention that Rupp. I almost ordered one of those this morning. I want to pull a bit more cool air into my equipment closet. The reviews on smarthome were pretty good for it, except for some complaints of noise.

I decided to try one of these instead. I'll let you know how it works out:

I thought about getting the inline but I don't like crawling around in my crawl space so I thought I would be lazy and try one of the floor boosters.

My wife bought this model for my daughter's room. The room was alway hot compared to other rooms. This little device seems to have done the trick.

I don't have a finished basement so I was lucky enough to have the ducting feed for the 2nd floor computer room available. I installed the 8" version of this that I got from Lowes (or Home Depot, forgot where I bought it):

I control it via a standard appliance module and it really boosts the airflow to that room when the computers are on. You can hear it when you're in the basement but it's totally silent anywhere else in the house. You can actually hear the increased airpressure flow at the register in the computer room when you turn it on.

              Rupp,

I have three of them, all on appliance modules. Three of the bedrooms here don't get quite enough air flow in the winter, so I turn them on a bit before bed time.

They are noisy - More than you would want. However, by turning them on before anyone goes to bed and leaving them on, no one has really complained. Turning them on and off during the night would be unacceptable.
