    Sorry. Thanks. I think romax for a 5v power supply is overkill. Off to plan B.

      Just rough guessing, but if you use the higher voltages (12-15v) on the wire, you probably could use cat3 telephone wire to power the cam at 10W. The running current of the motors is dropping the voltage so low that the cam chips are dropping out.
