    Trouble with Firecracker

I have installed the Firecracker hardware/software on my Windows 2003 server and it works great. However, I can't convince Homeseer to use the Firecracker interface so it can not communicate with my devices. I have attempted setting the option on the Interfaces tab. Am I missing anything else?

    Many thanks!

It should be as simple as that. The most important thing to check would be that HS is able to capture the com port and that the FireCracker software is not capturing it first. Any errors in the HS log?

Are you able to use the firecracker in the place of of your cm11A?

The FireCracker is an RF device and sends signals to a receiver like a RR501 and this in-turn puts the X10 signal on the powerline. The FireCracker is one way (send only).

It should unless you use 2 way switches or non RF devices like a mini a controller. If you use these then no RF is ever sent and HS would not be able to see the commands and act upon them.
