Start-up in Disconnected Mode

    These instructions work great.

What I'd like to do in addition is to be able to not have HomeSeer come-up on the display. Rather, I'd prefer that it come up in "disconnected" mode.

Is there an easy way to do that?

I have been using this little auto logon utility for the past five years and it continues to work great!

        Karl,
Disconnected Mode? Do you mean as a service?

          Rupp,

Nope; more like the equivalent of this:

System (re)boots

Logon screen comes up or "locked" screen comes up

Logon to HomeSeer

HomeSeer starts

Proceed through "switch to other user"

Don't logon to another user[/list]

Except I don't want to have to go through the "logon" sequence leaving an open console where others could come up and do things with it. I do want everything else in the Start-up and other things set up in that id to run as they otherwise would.

          Thanks.

            Kevin,

Thanks! BTW, before I try it out, can you tell me the steps that it takes?

            Karl.

              Hello Karl!

Yes, run the executable, enter the computer name (or Domain name if used), the user name and the password.
All this little util does is enter the appropriate values in the registry. I have been using this since WinNT 3.5 on up to WinXP.
