Anyone a CM11A Expert - "Possible no response to send data, still waiting"

Below is a clip of my log.

When I use my palmpad HR12A to send a command to the MR26A on COM2, there is a consistent delay before the CM11A on COM1 issues the command. I'm hoping to reduce this as it appears to be unusual. I think the MR26A plug in working correctly but something with my communication to the CM11A is suspect.

    I've tried the following:
    - unplug and let the CM11A "rest"
    - clear the memory
    - adjust the com port setings
    - a different receptacle

I know the first suggestion will be to replace the CM11A but I'm hoping to solve the problem vs throw money at it (although a replacement is on my "to do" list.

Anyone have any idea why I'm getting this "Possible no response to send data, still waiting" message?

Also are you retransmitting the signal received on the MR26a to the power line. If you are and you do not need to be turn it off and this will speed up the processing a bit.

I had the exact same issue with my CM11a (same error and everything, also using the mr26a), I gave up and got an USB powerlinc, but I noticed that my new USB unit wasn't working correctly either and had similar issues now so I moved it to another outlet, and it was working again. This outlet worked 100% for over a year, but since I had to move the powerlinc, I decided to plug the cm11a in again, but into a different outlet too, and sure enough, it started working again.

This started happening after a brown out, while I don't understand how or why, moving the CM11A to a different outlet (on a different breaker) seemed to have fixed this issue. It is now my backup unit as I am very happy with my USB powerlinc. I just figured I would share this in case moving it fixes it for you (again, I don't understand how or why).

Rupp: I am re-tranmitting onto the powerline as to use my palmpad against a few x-10 modules I have.

Guys: I have tried another outlet but pretty close and I better make sure it was on a different breaker. I'll try some stuff there.

Thanks for the quick replies, I appreciate all the help I receive here - one of the reasons I chose HomeSeer!

An easy way to test other outlets is to simply run an extension cord to various parts of the house and plug the cm11a into it(leaving it right where it is). Just make sure the SO isn't around to see the gaudy orange extension cord.

            Space Cowboy:

You might have already thought of this, but is this problem with the CM11A JUST when you send commands via the MR26A? For instance what happens if you send X-10 commands via a switch or plug-in controller?

When HomeSeer says "CM11A Checksum OK, sending 0", it is telling the CM11A to start transmitting the X10 command on the powerline. When the CM11A responds with "CM11A Got ack of: 55", it is telling HomeSeer that it is finished transmitting. The error is due to the fact that the CM11A took 4 or 5 seconds to transmit. HomeSeer posts the message "CM11A Possible no response to send data, still waiting" after 2 seconds.

So why is it taking so long for the CM11A to transmit? It could be other X10 transmitions, like from a TM751, or it could be noise on the powerline (the CM11A will wait for quiet).
