    Compact Flourescent Noise

I am having some problems with noise from a CF bulb, which is surprising because I have had the same bulb in for over a year. However, my general experience (not X10) is that the CF bulbs behave differently as they age. Does anyone have any recommendations as to which brands of CF are better or worse? How about effects of distance from switch and CF noise? What about aging and CF noise? Thanks

Are you talking noise from the fixture, like a buzzing? Or a noise from the switch? If its from the fixture you might try an electronic ballast, I think they give off less noise.

I am talking about electronic noise, as measured with test equipment, not audible noise. This noise is interferring with X10 signals.

Sounds like your going to have to put a filter on the devices that use these CF's.

It would probably be cheaper to go back to regular bulbs.
