Rupp what a great website you have!

I just checked it out, it's great! I love what you did! I don't want to bombard you with questions, but I have a few. How did you accomplish the smooth transition between page changes? Also, how do you create a link to all of your daily errors?

I'm not sure I would want this. I really would rather forget about all of my daily errors

(Sorry... I couldn't resist)

Beach,
The transitions are just meta tags between the <head> </head> tags of the HTML/asp page. This is a good page to experiment with:

http://htmlbasix.com/pagetransitions.shtml

The errors are a simple asp page that parses the ah.log file and looks for the word "error". Your welcome to it if yo want it. As the log file gets larger this page gets slower and slower.

Thanks Rupp. Could you email it to me? I would like to quickly check for errors. I'll give the metatags a shot too. I don't know how you get your site to respond so fast.

*** Rupp, but how do you add the metatags to pages like home, and status, and log, etc? There are no asp pages for them.

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ is excellent for browser effects too.

Many to sample on the site!

BTW, Rupp - your site is amazing! Congrats!

Thanks guys.

Beach you can't add meta tags to HS generated pages without a lot of work. Although I thought I read where this was going to change.

As far as speed goes. I'm on a cable modem and the cable company just raised the caps on our upload speed.

My upload speed is garbage. 128kbps. It's verizon. Very fast download - between 12.and 1.3 kbps.

Rupp, can't you just add the meta tags to meta.htm. That would include the tag in the HomeSeer pages.

Jeff,
I didn't know that HS supported the meta.htm. Is this supported sorta like links.htm is?

Correct.
There are several files that are included by the HS pages.

Meta.htm - is placed in the head section of each page.
Head.htm - is placed above the logo.
Links.htm - is placed below the logo.
Tail.htm - is placed at the bottom of the page.
Tailhome.htm - is placed at the bottom of the stat page.

So can you add the metatag to all pages?

Well all you have to do is create a file named meta.htm and place it in the html folder and then simply place any meta tags you want it there. I see them when I view source but I can't seems to get them to work?

Rupp,

Let me know if you get it to work. It would be cool. This way I can add the fade in effect to all pages.
