Slashdot has a great article about utilizing Slim Devices Squeezebox (wireless) or SliMP3 (wired) embedded network devices as a video player. Seems really cool and, I would think, somebody on this board could find it useful info..

There's also a cross platform (.java) software remote control available. Check it out!
