Can I suppress these in the HS log?

Because my CM11A stopped reliably controlling some units in the house, and because I cannot find an interference source nor a signal attenuator, I switched to a PowerLinc USB for X10 control. No dramatic improvement. I ran an extension cord so that the PowerLinc is now using an outlet on the other side of the garage. Maybe the X10 gods are better there.

However, the PowerLInc produces hundreds of reports as below, in batches of several minutes or a half hour. It fills up my HS log. How can I suppress these in the Log? (the CM11A did not produce such junk, when plugged into the same outlet).

WOW! You definately have a ton of powerline noise. I do not think you can. If they were a particular code like M1 I would have suggested to set up a device with that code and check the do not log.

Yup, looks like noise. If you go to the TI-103 that might help. But at least the TI-103 plugin will let you ignore whole housecodes that you may not be using.

The noise has to go. Not much is working correctly, X10-wise, becayse of the intermittent noise.

I have about run out of ideas on tracing the source. I hope it's not external to my home. One thing I have yet to do is flip all the breakers.

          Stevech,

If it does appear to be external noise, I had pretty good results with this unit at my las house.

            Stevech,
If you have that noisy of an environment it may be time to consider Z-Wave and get away from the PLC paradigm.

              Gee, I had X10 95% reliable for 5 years.

Steve, do you by chance have an Ocelot with a PSC05 on your powerline - there are some instances when the Ocelot/PSC05 combo cause line noise exactly as you're seeing. I had the same problem and removing the PSC05 from the Ocelot fixed it (although I then had to put ALL of my X10 in HS and remove it from my CMAX program). fortuneately my system's been really stable lately (tommorrow will be 30 days without a reboot), so HS handles the X10 just as well as the Ocelot did...
