The best way to get a quick response on problems like this is to open a help desk ticket.
But sonypoolplr is correct, the keys for plugins and scripts are stored in the settings.ini file.
Although there are other files needed by plugins and scripts (and you would have to ask each plugin and script author what those files are), there are only three files really needed for HomeSeer. The main .xml file (which is the file name in the window title when running the GUI), this is where all the devices and events are stored; the settings.ini file and the devtypes.cfg file.
I backup these three (and a couple of .ini file for some of my plugins) every night and before an upgrade.

Just a thought, I could be wrong but aren't the licence numbers in the settings.ini file? I thought I remember seeing something like them there. If not sorry for the suggestion.

Don,
I'm sure the license information is stored in the registry. Did you try searching for the plugins there?

Don,
Are they listed in the view > options > >interfaces drop down list? If so it may be a >licensing issue.

Yes. And they are asking me for my license, which, of course, I have lost. I made backups before this but I must have missed a file, thus the question of what file holds this info
It is the same problem that many others have >run into when upgrading to 1.7. The devices >and events all go away and in many cases have >to be completely rebuilt.
Don:
Fortunately, I still have my events and devices. I just can't do sh#t with them. I wish I knew what files had to be protected, so I won't have to do this again. Ironically, I copied my entire homeseer directory before I upgraded.
Thanks for the interest guys. Hopefully I can get this straightened out.

Have not upgraded to 1.5;
By interfaces I mean things like my Homevision unit, the HSTV plug in, and more.

interfaces? What do you mean by interfaces? Do you mean devices or events or something else? If you are talking about events and devices these are store in the config directory in an XML file. If you never changed the file name it would be sample.xml I believe.

Upps!
While getting ready to upgrade to 1.7 I copied my Homeseer directory to another directory. I then restarted Homeseer and all my interfaces were gone.
What file controls the interfaces?
Thanks;
