Help...CM11a doesn't work

Hey guys,

I picked up a new CM11a on ebay, and am trying to get it to work. Unfortunately, I've had no luck. Nothing seems to work. Homeseer doesn't seem to detect it, so I figured I would use the included SmartHome software for some simple troubleshooting. I plugged the cm11a into the wall and into the serial port, but I'm getting nothing. When I click on and off on a device, nothing happens. No signals are received, either. I have tried with batteries and no batteries, and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Is there somethign I'm doing wrong or have to do the first time?

It sounds like the CM11A is dead. I have been using the same one for the last 5 years but a friend has had 4 die on him so they must not be that durable.

Ugh..that's no good. Guess I have to send it back...
