    2-Way 220 switches???

Does NE1 know of a 2-way 220 switch?? I have a pool pump that I want to control which feeds into a Polaris automatic pool cleaner. The Pool pump has to be running for a little while before the Auto cleaner so I really need a 2-way system so I can check that the pool pump is in fact on. Please let me know where to find one if they are available. Thankx

This is a good 220V switch but I'm not sure if it's 2-way or not. Since it can also serve as a signal repeater, it stands to reason that it COULD be 2-way. The literature on the switch doesn't say specifically whether it's 2-way or not. I'll test mine by pushing the local on/off buttons and check HS to see if it receives an X10 signal.

      Clever1,
Have a look at this switch it supports status request.

DC you beat me to the punch. According to Smarthomes site it supports status request.

I guess it depends on what Clever1 means by "2-way". The switch does support status request but it does NOT transmit an X10 signal when it's controlled locally (I just tested that). To me, 2-way means it responds to on/off commands sent to it AND it sends on/off commands when controlled locally.

If it just responses to Status Requests that will work for me... Two issues with it is that I would need to use it outside and the second is that they are so big...

It is definitely not small. You could use it outside by enclosing it in an outdoor rated enclosure.

I guess I could use one of the current detection devices to make sure that the pump is running... Or even more in detail a pressure gauge that would even let me know when the filter needed backwashed as well as being on... NE1 know where I can get these devices???
