Wife wants an intercom system?

Any of you guys use a wireless built in "retro fit" intercom system? Was it easy to install? Does it work good?

I don't have exactly what you are referring to, but what I did get was a vTech phone system with intercom functionality. I picked up phones here and there on eBay for a good price and installation was as easy as plugging em in.

what about just installing a pbx phone system in the house? that way you dont need extra things on the wall, you get extra featurs on the phon AND a multi path intercom system to boot. they are as little as $300 now
