Media Player - Text to Speech Question

Greetings,

Is there a way to get media player to play in the background while text is being spoken by HS? The current option I can see are only "Mute" or "Pause"

Essentially I am trying to get the system to run Text to speach while having music "dimmed" in the background.

In the setup, you can change the "while speaking" option to None. Then, using the SpeakProxy hooks in HomeSeer and your own plug-in, or the IsSpeaking plug-in, or the SpeakEasy plug-in, you can trigger an event prior to speaking taking place that lowers the volume of Media Player, and raises it back up when it is done.
