Or, if you are using a CM11a, get a TI-103. It transmits at around twice the signal strength. Also, Jeff is correct, a coupler/repeater is a must for larger homes. I use the CR-234 and it works very well.

Greg, 2 thoughts come to mind and they're basically receiving and sending.

    1) for receiving, have you tried to use a W800RF32A receiver? I have used this and have found full coverage of inside and outside signals.

    2) for sending, there are a number of items you can consider:
    - if using a CM11a powerline transmitter, a coupler/repeater often is the best solution to problems associated with crossing the powerlines of the circuit box
    - getting an RF transmitting device better range - I have found a couple of pointers; first getting the device away from conflicting RF sources like the monitor etc. Use a simple cable extender. I found that 10 feet made a big difference; and use one of the many antenna solutions that are configured for receiving, but I have found also can assist with sending commands.

Hope this gives you some help, or at least helps your thinking process.
