Can I use a CM11A for X-10 interface with Ocelot?

My Ocelot and Secu16 are "in the mail". In my infinite wisdom, I neglected to order a PSC05 or TW523. I am running HS on a dedicated computer with TI103 X-10 controller. I have a spare CM11A. Can I use a CM11A with my Ocelot instead of buying another X-10 controller (such as PSC05 or TW523)? I found the RJ11 connections the PSC05 on Smarthomeusa.com site:
    1. Zero crossing detect
    2. Common
    3. X-10 Output to OEM
    4. X-10 Input from OEM
But I don't know what the connections are on the CM11A. And I really hate to short out expensive new equipment. Thanks.

I don't think you can use the CM11A interface with the Ocelot. You may want to have a look at Applied Digital's forums here also: Oh and while you are there download the latest version of the CMax code before you get started (Ver 2.0E)

Also remember if you are going to make your own cable between the interface and the Ocelot it is not like a standard telephone cable (I think the pins are straight thru and not mirrored, but can't remember the difference).

I went back to the appdig site and finally found a post and you are correct, can't use a CM11A with the Ocelot. Two different beasties(CM11A vs PSC05) that work differently. Thanks for your help.

And to perhaps save you further trouble...

The "phone line" cable that connects the TW523/PSC05 to the Ocelot is a data cable, not a telephone cable. If you hold both ends of the cable up side-by-side facing the same way, then the 4 wires are the same orientation. A phone line, if it even has 4 wires instead of 2, will have the wires oriented in reverse.

So... Make sure you got a data cable with your PSC05, not a telephone one.

Some distributors just got so tired of the 2nd shipments and frustrated customers that they started including those items as standard, and you had to order a special part number to NOT get them. Some might even be including them without an upcharge now.

If you have Leviton scene switches/controllers, and you want to have HomeSeer react to the scene commands, then you cannot do that with the TW523/PSC05 - it cannot receive extended data X10 commands. It can send them just fine if you are only controlling those devices though. Also, if you DO happen to have another interface such as the CM11A or the PowerLinc USB, then you can use those as your HomeSeer X10 interface and just leave the Ocelot's X-10 interface disconnected. (Both of those two can send and receive extended data X-10 commands.)
