    This was a fun article.

Thanks for the link, but I'd have to say this article is just so much rhetoric and BS. Gates, the only person of media value, is quoted with the generic lingo of politicians. I simply can't take anything this article seriously. Sorry.

Well, with the exception of the bed tossing you out, and the refrigerator ordering one quart of milk to be delivered (pretty expensive milk, I bet), everthing in the article is availble if you look for it. For example (and this could be done with Homeseer) Mike Fergeson uses his "Xtension" program (for Mac's) not only to automate his home and ranch complex, but also to track all his supply needs. Just before he throws any empty carton, package, wrapper, etc in the trash, he reads the bar code. Then every week "Xtension" prints out a grocery/sundries/supplies list based on what went into the trash compared to Mikes "min/max" quantities stored in a database. He does a ton of neat innovative tasks with "Xtension" (which I bet many of the "older" Homeseer users are doing also) http://www.shed.com.

As for the mirror, I just read about a bathroom mirror with a built in PC monitor/HD TV, for a mere $8000. Just what I need.

I agree. But, it was fun anyway.
